3 star campsite near Choranche

Every year, from the end of April to mid-September, we open the doors of our little corner of preserved paradise to travelers. We offer you different types of accommodation: pitches for tents, camper vans, caravans... but also comfortable mobile homes, equipped lodge tents and solutions for groups and apprentice campers. At Gouffre de la Croix, everything has been designed for your comfort and to bring you closer to nature!

Our values and our commitments

Camping du Gouffre de la Croix is above all a warm and personalized welcome, in a friendly and family atmosphere. Your peace and quiet will be at the center of our concerns in this natural setting. Our campsite is very close to the Isère, discover the fauna and the flora of this territory. In our campsite, we are sensitive to the preservation of the environment, which is why we have implemented a set of daily actions:

For waste: selective sorting containers and composters available to all.

For water: automated taps and mixed water, reasoned watering (early in the morning or after sunset), staff awareness of water waste.

For energy: motion detector and/or timer in the sanitary facilities, replacement of old bulbs with energy-saving bulbs.

For the local economy: local staff, use of local craftsmen for maintenance work, promotion of local products at the grocery store, partners who share our values.

In our campsite without wifi or TV, enjoy a rejuvenating stay in a calm and soothing environment where everyone will enjoy connecting to the essentials.

If you need total disconnection to change your daily life, treat yourself to a real digital detox at Camping du Gouffre de la Croix... with family or friends, forget the screens and share good times in offline mode line!

It's a lot of good, you'll see: an amazing stay during which neither phone nor tablet will come to play the intruders. See you for a nature stay in our campsite with sports, hikes in the middle of nature, rest, idleness, games... Pure happiness!

For this reason WiFi is only available at reception.

Accommodations

At the Camping du Gouffre de la Croix, in the heart of the Vercors, we offer you different ranges of accommodation: nature, eco, adventure, comfort and privilege

On our large 2.5 hectare park, we offer mobile homes and lodge tents. Rentals must be booked for a minimum of two nights in low season, and one week from Saturday to Saturday in July and August.

We also offer pitches in the countryside that you can reach with your tent, camper van or caravan.

Some of our pitches are accessible to people with reduced mobility, others are not accessible to vehicles.

We offer two sanitary blocks with showers, sinks, toilets, washing-up sinks as well as a PMR area (closed cabin with shower, toilet, sink)

Restaurant & Bar – Make the most of your stay!

Bar

Our bar is open all day (closed in the early afternoon). Sit back and enjoy a hot or refreshing drink with an ice cream. Upon reservation, enjoy pastries and bread baked on site, or opt for a gourmet breakfast.

Outdoor restaurant (evenings, from mid-May)

Enjoy a meal on the premises, on the terrace, or to go. Our menu offers a varied menu to satisfy all appetites: local specialties like ravioli, but also burgers, fries, and pizzas.

Picnic baskets (in July and August)

Fancy a quick lunch in the great outdoors? Order your picnic basket the day before for the next day and enjoy a convenient and delicious meal wherever you want!

Our map

The grocery store

At the reception of our Gouffre de la Croix Campsite, we offer a small grocery store (closed during lunchtime). You can find basic products, hygiene products, and local products from our partners.

For your convenience, we also offer fresh produce such as butter, milk, and locally sourced fruits and vegetables.

We also sell gas bottles and matches.

A freezer is available for storing ice packs. Small barbecues (for 2 people) are available for free on the pitches, and the "Privilege" rental accommodations have their own barbecue. However, in the event of drought or prefectural restrictions, we reserve the right to remove barbecues and suspend their use for safety reasons.

To have fun

On our 3-star campsite near Choranche, we provide children with a playground and a trampoline.

For the older ones, we offer a ping-pong table, a volleyball and badminton net.. . We lend you all the necessary equipment!

At the reception of your campsite, your hosts will be on hand to advise you on activities and visits to do in the surrounding area. You will find a library, board games and tourist documentation.

The La Bourne river borders the campsite, you can swim or go fishing (trout fishing). Set up your towel on our private beach and enjoy!

And the swimming pool?

By prioritizing the absence of a swimming pool, we create an environment where visitors are encouraged to explore the surrounding natural beauty rather than being confined to a chlorinated space.

We favor an authentic experience, emphasizing nature and tranquility. By favoring outdoor exploration rather than relaxing around a pool. This encourages richer social encounters and we reduce our environmental impact.
