Every year, from late April to mid-September, we open the doors of our little corner of unspoiled paradise to travelers. We offer different types of accommodation: pitches for tents, campervans, caravans... but also comfortable mobile homes, equipped lodge tents, and solutions for groups and beginner campers. At Gouffre de la Croix, everything has been designed for your comfort and to bring you closer to nature!

Our values and commitments

Camping du Gouffre de la Croix is above all about a warm and personalized welcome in a friendly, family atmosphere. Your peace and quiet are our top priorities in this natural setting. Our campsite is located very close to the Isère River; discover the fauna and flora of this area. At our campsite, we are committed to environmental preservation, which is why we have implemented a number of daily actions: For waste: recycling bins and composters available to everyone. For water: automated taps and mixed water, responsible watering (early morning or after sunset), staff training on water conservation. For energy: motion detectors and/or timers in the restrooms, replacement of old light bulbs with energy-efficient ones, no air conditioning in the common areas or in the rentals because the nights are pleasant. For the local economy: local staff, use of local tradespeople for maintenance work, promotion of local products in the grocery store, partners who share our values. At our campsite, without No Wi-Fi or TV (even in the rentals), enjoy a rejuvenating stay in a calm and peaceful environment where everyone will appreciate connecting with what truly matters. If you need a complete digital detox to escape your daily routine, treat yourself to a real digital detox at Camping du Gouffre de la Croix... with family or friends, forget about screens and share wonderful moments offline! It feels amazing, you'll see: an amazing stay where neither phone nor tablet will be an intruder. Join us for a nature getaway at our campsite with sports, hikes in the great outdoors, relaxation, leisure, games... Pure bliss! For this reason, Wi-Fi is only available at reception.

Accommodation

At Camping du Gouffre de la Croix, in the heart of the Vercors region, we offer a variety of accommodation options: nature, eco, adventure, comfort, and luxury. On our large 2.5-hectare site, we offer mobile homes and lodge tents. Enjoy flexible stays during the off-season: a minimum of one or two nights, depending on the accommodation, during the low season. In July and August, the furnished tent can be booked for a minimum of two nights, while other accommodations are rented exclusively by the week, from Saturday to Saturday. We also offer pitches in a natural setting, which you can reach with your tent, campervan, or caravan. Some of our pitches are accessible to people with reduced mobility, while others are not accessible by vehicle. We offer two sanitary blocks with showers, sinks, toilets, and dishwashing facilities, as well as a dedicated accessible area (enclosed cubicle with shower, toilet, and sink).

Restaurant & Bar – Make the most of your stay!

Bar

Our bar is open all day (closed in the early afternoon). Sit back and enjoy a hot or refreshing drink with an ice cream. Upon reservation, enjoy pastries and bread baked on site, or opt for a gourmet breakfast.

Outdoor restaurant (evenings, from mid-May)

Enjoy a meal on the premises, on the terrace, or to go. Our menu offers a varied menu to satisfy all appetites: local specialties like ravioli, but also burgers, fries, and pizzas.

Picnic baskets (in July and August)

Fancy a quick lunch in the great outdoors? Order your picnic basket the day before for the next day and enjoy a convenient and delicious meal wherever you want!

Our map

The grocery store

At the reception of our Gouffre de la Croix Campsite, we offer a small grocery store (closed during lunchtime). You can find basic products, hygiene products, and local products from our partners.

For your convenience, we also offer fresh produce such as butter, milk, and locally sourced fruits and vegetables.

We also sell gas bottles and matches.

A freezer is available for storing ice packs. Small barbecues (for 2 people) are available for free on the pitches, and the "Privilege" rental accommodations have their own barbecue. However, in the event of drought or prefectural restrictions, we reserve the right to remove barbecues and suspend their use for safety reasons.

To have fun

On our 3-star campsite near Choranche, we provide children with a playground and a trampoline.

For the older ones, we offer a ping-pong table, a volleyball and badminton net.. . We lend you all the necessary equipment!

At the reception of your campsite, your hosts will be on hand to advise you on activities and visits to do in the surrounding area. You will find a library, board games and tourist documentation.

The La Bourne river borders the campsite, you can swim or go fishing (trout fishing). Set up your towel on our private beach and enjoy!

And the swimming pool?

By prioritizing the absence of a swimming pool, we create an environment where visitors are encouraged to explore the surrounding natural beauty rather than being confined to a chlorinated space.
